Question 7
I have been using the posted formulas for the Qcorrect and Q(neglectmasserror) but am still getting them marked incorrect on Maple TA... is this a ploy to have me lose it?! - No but seriously, can anyone help. All my values are correct, but its still being marked wrong.
Is your answer near the value of 12.8 or 12.9 for Qcorrect?
thx.

Bottom of Question 7

Q #7
correct: sqrt((Deltam/m)^2+(DeltadeltaT/deltaT)^2)*Qwater
deltam= .02
m=mass of water only
DeltadeltaT=.7071
DeltaT=Tfinal-Tinitial
Qwater=mass of water * specific heat of water * deltaT
neglect mass: sqrt(DeltadeltaT/deltaT)^2)*Qwater
(use same exect numbers as for correct delta Q) = answer should be the around or same as correct deltaQ
Hopefully this helped, Gd Luck

error of F?
i don't understand which formula to use, the lab manual said it was 15 percent, so i tried .15 and .015 even and also 15 percent of my average force (.15 x average force) but still no luck
thanks in advance, i really need this formula to do question 5!

Question 2 (Error of F)+ Question 9 (unit)
i don't understand what to do for the error of F for question 2
.15 and 15% of the average force doesn't work
and also what are the units for question 9- the heat Q?
THANK YOU!!

hello- Guest
error of F
Guys the error of F is 15% of F. you have to calculate it using your F value.
for example my F was 2.8 therefore my error of F is .42 which is 15% of 2.8
good luck!
