T_c is .0001, it is the same for everyone because we all should have used the same capacitance and resistance which were 10e-7 and 1,000, so you just mulitple them.
T_c capacitance is the place on your graph where your x axis equals your V_c. error should be about .000012.
T_c resistance find it the same way and the error is the same
error for T_c is .000014

ratio is measured frequency over the frequency you think it is on the generator. my ratio was about 1.09. To measure the frequency, find the period of the graph on the oscilloscope and do 1 over that.

To find actual frequency numbers just multiple your first column numbers by the ratio you calculated. Your resonance frequency is the number that has the highest Vr which you should already know from the calculated frequency you did for the ratio.
error for graph res frequency is sqrt(((deltaL/L)squared)+((deltaC/C)squared) then that number times your resonance frequency.

calculated res freq is in the pre lab which is 3183. error is the same as the one for the other res freq. but very imporatant is that ou have to multiple that number by 1/2 and then 3183.

good luck

Post  MONEY23 on Fri Mar 20, 2009 11:01 am

Hey sorry guys but I cant figure out the error of the calculated frequency. Ive tried everything and nothing has worked whatsoever. I got the other error but for some reason, excel wont accept anything that I type. Will appreciate greatly!!! thank youu sunny

OK so if VR= VB*(e^(-t/RC)) what is VB and/or how do we find it?

I didn't realize that we had to figure out which trace is which in lab. Can I get some help on this one?

I cannot figure out the error of the frequency from the graph either- what was posted earlier was incorrect. Any help guys? Thanks
