did anyone have the equation for #8 and #9 in the lab prep #3?

For #8, It should be R_1+R_2 since it's connected in series. But did anyone get #9? I think it should be 1/R_1 + 1/R_2....but it didn't work.

try putting parenthesis around the "1/x". Not the formula I used but should be the same.
