hey guys...anyone know how to do #5 and #7 on this quiz? for #5, i can't figure out what expres​sion(4) is supposed to be in order to solve for the total force. and for #7, i don't get it starting from the f=r2/r1 ratio part. Can someone help please??

this is the equation for #5 eq. 4..... im still stuck on #6 tho so i havent really looked at 7 yet....

sqrt(2)*k*q*Q/d^2

## output variable

anyone know the output variable for number 2? i've tried cancelling the two equations and looking on the cd but it's confusing. is it just simple algebra? i got (q_1*q_3*k)/(x_3-x_1)^2=(q_3*q_2*k)/(x_2-x_3)^2 after cancelling, it should be q_1/(x_3-x_1)^2=q_2/(x_2-x_3)^2 i don't know how to continue or what to fix. PLZ HELP!!! thank you
