Re: Lab Report 5
I keep getting some rather large numbers for question 38 and 40. When I enter them, maple TA says the numbers are incorrect.
This is what I did:
KEi-KEi'=X
Then
X/sqrt(DeltaKE^2+DeltaKEi^2)= 20 something
What the hell is going on here?????? Why cant I get the answer, what am I doing wrong?!?!?!?!?

ratio questions
..could anyone point me in the right direction as to how to get the rations in questions 38 & 40..
38:Use the values of question "Lab 5 Part IV Total Kinetic Energies and Errors in Part II (Elastic)" and calculate the ratio of the magnitude of the difference of the Total Kinetic Energies before and after the elastic collision, divided by the absolute error of the difference
40: Use the values of question "Lab 5 Part IV Inelastic Collisions Table 8b Kinetic Energies" and calculate the difference of the Total Kinetic Energy before minus after the inelastic collision of Part III. Divide this by the error of the difference
also.. im having a problem with parts of questions 32 and 34.. for deltavi^2/vi^2... how do we get these numbers? THANKS!

.. were all asking the same question.. and im gonna ask it again.. lol does ANYONE know how to find the ratios for 38 and 40? so many people have asked this but no ones given an answer yet

Question 32
to find Deltav_i^2/v_i^2 just multiply Deltav/v by 2 the answer should be 0.0800
